As a Forensic Pathologist in Albuquerque, and from my experience working with other non-profits, I am too familiar with the struggles that women and girls face in New Mexico.  I was raised in Albuquerque, went to school in San Diego, and returned to go to medical school and complete my residency and fellowship at the University of New Mexico where I am now on faculty.  In addition, I am the proud mother of two amazing daughters who motivate me to work to make positive changes in the world.
