Dear Friend,

First and foremost we hope that you and your loved ones are safe and healthy in this period of uncertainty due to COVID-19. While COVID-19 has created or further exacerbated many problems for New Mexican families, it is not the only source of struggle for New Mexican women and children.

Did you know: 

• New Mexico ranked 50th in 2019 for child welfare – the third time since 2013 according to the 2019 KIDS COUNT Data Book.

• US News and Reports ranked New Mexico #49 for Education in 2018

• One in three NM women 18 years and older will experience DV in her lifetime. (Incidence and Nature of Domestic Violence in NM XVIII, NM Interpersonal Violence Data Central Repository, July, 2019.

Fortunately, we believe that New Mexico truly is the “Land of Enchantment” and that together can make positive and meaningful changes for women and children in our community.
 
We hope you feel the same and would like to invite you to join us in Albuquerque Women’s Giving Circle. 
 
What is a giving circle? It is an opportunity to come together as progressive women and pool our resources to fund grants to organizations that support women and children in the Albuquerque area. You'll see EXACTLY where your money goes!
 
Don’t feel like you can give a lot? Don’t worry. Because we are doing this together, your membership fee is only $250 per year and is a charitable donation. Your fee will be pooled together with other members’; and 100% of the money we collect will be awarded to an organization, or organizations, that meet our goal of improving the lives of women and children in Albuquerque. Your membership fee enables you to learn about nonprofits in our community, join together with like-minded women who want to make a difference in our community, and vote on who receives our pooled money.  You have the freedom to be involved as little or as much as you like in the process!
