HOW TO GET INVOLVED

MEMBERSHIP

Membership is open to those who share our vision for a brighter Albuquerque for women and children. New members are invited to join our dynamic group each winter by current members. Our membership fee is only $250 per year. Your membership fee will be pooled together with other members’ fees; and 100% of the money we collect will be awarded via grants to an organization, or organizations, that meet our goal of improving the lives of women and children in Albuquerque. 

Your membership fee enables you to learn about nonprofits in our community, join together with like-minded women who want to make a difference in our community, invite new members, and vote on who receives our pooled money.

COMMITTEES

Each member gets to vote on where the money is donated but if you have extra time and energy, all members are invited to participate in one of our three committees.

Communication Committee: The Communication Committee is charged with the responsibility of disseminating information to the membership and community about the work of the  Albuquerque Women’s Giving Circle. 

Grants Committee: The Grants Committee is charged with the responsibility to seek applicants, review applications, and make recommendations to the membership regarding potential grantees. No more than six grantees will be chosen per funding cycle and all grants must benefit women and/or children in Albuquerque. 

Membership: The Membership Committee works to identify, invite,  and retain members to the organization.
